More than 40 years’ knowledge and experience OTexDelta BV was established in 2002, when the freight forwarders Olietransport Delta BV and Otex Olietransport BV decided to join forces. Both companies have more than 40 years’ experience in inland barging. Since 1997, there has been a close partnership with Zwaans van den Heuvel Tankvaart BV. Established more than 50 years ago, this shipping company has recently become an all-round specialist in the transport of liquid sulphur. The knowledge and experience gained forms the basis for all our transport operations.
Our own modern fleet We have evolved from a freight forwarder into a company with an extensive modern fleet of double hull barges. The combination of our own vessels and charter vessels makes us flexible and able to fulfil all our customers' needs and preferences.
ISO certified In our sector, it is absolutely vital to apply and observe quality and safety standards. Minimising risks is an area of particular focus. With this in mind, OTexDelta and Zwaans van den Heuvel Tankvaart BV have been jointly certified in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance system. The careful monitoring, inspection, quantification and improvement of our procedures and activities are a key aspect of our work. This applies both to the office organisation, on board our own vessels and on board our charter vessels/subcontractors. This work is performed by a special quality and safety officer employed by OTD/Zwaans.
Dedicated vessels We use dedicated vessels so that we can provide proper service to our customers and guarantee optimal care and quality as regards the transported product.
Advanced IT and communication: 24/7 The crews on all our vessels (both our own and those of charter firms) maintain contact both by computer and by phone with our office 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This enables us to coordinate and exchange the most recent and/or urgent data. Our small and efficient organisation enables us to respond rapidly to changes, changing preferences and new instructions.
